One of my favorite spots on the entire Waikiki strip! Nothing is a more quintessential touristy experience than sipping on a delicious drink while enjoying the sights and sounds of the wonderful Waikiki Beach and Diamondhead right in front of you. It's located inside the iconic pink Royal Hawaiian Hotel. It's open seating so if you see a table, feel free to seat yourself and someone from their waitstaff will tend to you. Service was pretty attentive but I can see things taking a bit longer during busy hours and you may have to flag someone down. Food and drinks came out pretty quickly though so no complaints there. We ordered the Lava Flow, Pina Colada and some truffle fries to munch on. Note: the drinks were not actually on their most current menu but they're able to make it for you if you ask. Both of our drinks were really good and refreshing, perfect for enjoying a beautiful day at the beach. The truffle fries came perfectly fried and crispy with a generous, heaping portion. While a bit on the pricier side for an appetizer, the portion sizes definitely make up for it. Hands down, Mai Tai Bar is always a must-stop for me each time I'm in Waikiki and is a perfect spot to visit at any time of the day.

Omg, this place knows how to make a drink to get you drunk. I came here from a recommendation from a friend and really enjoyed hanging here. Located right on the beach and with great service from the bartenders. I got the Mai Tai and 96 Degrees in the Shade since it was a frozen drink. Both drinks are super strong and worth the price. Highly recommend stopping here for a drink while you're in Waikiki!

On The Strand Of The Hotels In Waikiki The Mai Tai Bar. History at its best the bar on the beck of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Fabulous Place!! First of all its all in pink lighting and accents which I LOVE!! The Mai Tai was fabulous we stopped in for a dink here on one of our nightly strolls and the Mai Tai Bar does not dissapoint. Amazing views of the beach perfect for a bite or a drink and just enjoy the beautiful hawaiian skies & listening to the ocean. Mahalo Mai Tai Bar!

Food is delicious. The fries were nice and crispy with a soft inside. And the Truffle aoli was flavorful. The Mahi Mahi was fresh and had a cioppino like tomatoe broth. The toasted bread they gave was perfect to soak up the broth. The atmosphere is nice and laid back with live music and the beach eight there. You could literally order, go hop in the ocean, and be back before your food got there. I will always try to make this a stop when I visit.
